How does selling my diabetic supplies work? +
It's a simple 3-step process: (1) Choose your products on our sell page and see your guaranteed payout. (2) We email you a free prepaid shipping label. (3) Once we receive and inspect your items, payment is sent within 1 business day. The whole process typically takes 3โ€“5 days total.
Do I need an account to sell? +
No account required! Just go to the sell page, add your items to the cart, fill in your contact and payment info at checkout, and you're done. Creating an account is optional and helps if you plan to sell regularly.
How long does the whole process take? +
Most sellers complete the entire process in 3โ€“5 business days: Day 1 โ€” submit order, receive label. Days 2โ€“3 โ€” ship your package. Day 4 โ€” we receive and inspect. Day 5 โ€” payment sent.
Can I sell supplies for a family member? +
Yes. Many of our sellers are family members or caregivers who have leftover supplies after a loved one changed treatment or passed away. Anyone 18+ can sell sealed, unexpired supplies, provided they have legal authority to do so.
Do you serve customers outside of Florida? +
Yes. We serve customers in all 50 U.S. states. We work with USPS and FedEx to provide free shipping nationwide. The name "Florida Medical Surplus" just refers to where we're based โ€” anyone in the country can sell to us.

What we buy and how we determine your payout.

What diabetic supplies do you buy? +
We buy CGM sensors (Dexcom G6/G7, FreeStyle Libre 2/3, Medtronic Guardian), glucose test strips (Accu-Chek, OneTouch, Bayer Contour, True Metrix), insulin pump supplies (Omnipod pods, Tandem cartridges, Medtronic reservoirs/infusion sets), pen needles, lancets, and insulin syringes. All items must be sealed and unexpired.
What condition must my supplies be in? +
Items must be: factory-sealed in original packaging, unexpired (3+ months preferred), with no water damage, torn labels, stains, or tampering. Original lot numbers and barcodes must be intact and readable. Opened boxes are not accepted.
How is my payout calculated? +
Your payout depends on four factors: (1) Brand โ€” premium brands like Dexcom & Omnipod command higher rates. (2) Model โ€” newer models pay more. (3) Expiration โ€” longer time to expiry = higher payout. (4) Box condition โ€” sealed, undamaged packaging required. You see the exact guaranteed price during checkout before you commit.
Will the price change after I ship? +
No. Your quoted price is guaranteed and locked in โ€” provided the items you ship match what you submitted (correct brand, product, quantity, expiration date, and condition). If something doesn't match, we'll contact you before changing anything.
Do you buy insulin or prescription medications? +
No. We only purchase over-the-counter diabetic supplies. We do not buy insulin, prescription medications, or any controlled substances. This is for legal compliance โ€” we are not a pharmacy.
What if my item isn't listed? +
Email a photo to info@floridamedicalsurplus.com or call (813) 000-0000. We can usually confirm eligibility within an hour and add it as a custom quote if it fits our buying criteria.
Can I sell expired supplies? +
No. Expired items have no resale value and are not safe for resale. If you submit expired items, they will be either donated or disposed of safely โ€” they will not be returned.

How free shipping works.

Is shipping really free? +
Yes โ€” always. We provide a prepaid USPS or FedEx label at no cost to you. You'll never pay for shipping.
How does free shipping work? +
After submitting your order, we email you a prepaid shipping label within 1 hour. Print it, tape it to your package, and drop it off at any USPS or FedEx location. No printer? We can mail a physical label to you.
How should I pack my items? +
Use any sturdy cardboard box. Add bubble wrap or crumpled paper to prevent items from shifting. Keep items in their original packaging โ€” don't open or modify boxes. Tape the prepaid label flat on top with no creases over the barcode.
How long do I have to ship after getting my label? +
Ship within 14 calendar days to lock in your quoted price. After 14 days, prices may need to be re-quoted based on current rates.
What if my package gets lost? +
Once your package is scanned into the carrier system, we cover the risk of loss in transit. If a package is lost after the first scan, contact us with your tracking number and we'll work with the carrier to file a claim and ensure you're paid.

How fast will I get paid? +
Within 1 business day after your package is received and passes inspection. Most sellers are paid the same business day inspection occurs.
What payment methods do you offer? +
Six options: Zelle, PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, ACH direct deposit, or business check by mail. You choose your preferred method at checkout.
What if my items don't match what I submitted? +
Our team will contact you immediately by email and phone. We never change prices without your approval โ€” you can either accept the adjusted payout for accepted items only, or decline and have items returned to you ($10 return shipping fee).
Do I need to report this income on my taxes? +
Yes. You're responsible for reporting income from sales to applicable tax authorities. If you receive over $600 in payments in a calendar year, we'll issue a 1099 form as required by IRS rules.
Are there any hidden fees? +
No. What you see is what you get. No transaction fees, no shipping fees, no inspection fees. The quoted payout is what hits your account (unless you choose check by mail, which uses standard USPS delivery โ€” also free).
